As you can see from these spy photos, the next Skoda Superb will be just another cultural sedan. The Czech brand does not feel the pressure to exemplify more cross-cutting features. “At Skoda, we are going against the trend and sales of sedans and station cars are still on the rise,” said Skoda manufacturer Oliver Stefani.
Part d is on its way back, but the Skoda Superb seems to have a bit of a problem with that. The third generation of models sold better in the Netherlands than the second generation, which in turn was ‘over the counter’ more often than the first generation. Skoda has a good formula with Superb: a spacious, well-equipped car, which is bigger than its competitors, but more expensive.
The upcoming Skoda Superb gets a evolutionary structure
And so there is a fourth generation. Our spy photographer captured it in Austria, where it was tested as a tow truck, among other things. It’s hard to see under all the concealment, but the next Superb will be the evolution of the current structure, with Skoda’s new pentagonal grille, front headlights and c-shaped back light units.
Also the new Volkswagen Passat according to Superb?
As before, the Skoda Superb is on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform. We’ll be surprised if the diesel version comes to us, but you should count the gasoline and hybrid versions of the plug. It is also said that there will be a Volkswagen Passat based on Superb, but only as a station car. Both vehicles will be built in the Slovak capital Bratislava.
