Subaru has reserved twelve names that evoke events | Car news

• Subaru retains several names that evoke events.

Subaru, well known, is a brand that appeals to outdoor enthusiasts. And models like the Outback and Forester, and more recently the Crosstrek, are aimed at those who like to go on weekend adventures, whether it’s biking, kayaking, skiing, etc.

The name Outback, moreover, refers to the type of adventures that many owners engage in. Recently, we’ve seen the company add Wilderness variants to its product family, models that offer more off-road capabilities.

These names bring us back to nature, like Desert which can be translated as wilderness.

It seems that the company does not intend to stop there. Indeed, according to what the website AutoGuide reports, the manufacturer has reserved several names of this type with the American authorities, more precisely the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). In fact, no less than 12 names have been preserved.

It is worth noting that saving a name does not mean that it will be used, whether it designates a model, variant, device, etc. However, the high conservation of denominational numbers means that something is up.

The reserved names are as follows: Unfilled, Trailseeker, Viewfinder, Trailwind, Trailhead, Outsider, Hightrail, Getaway, Highrood, Everpass, Everguide and To adhere to.

It must be admitted, some are very interesting, like Trailhead, which can be translated as the starting point of the path, or Unknown, which refers to an unexplored expression, and which recalls a very famous name.

We’ll let you have fun with the translation of other names.

Of course it will be interesting to see which ones end up being used, if at all. One thing is certain, Subaru is always looking for other ways and strategies to attract its customers and it takes all means to do so, including keeping 12 names … that cannot be used by the competition.

Could any of those names be used to identify new electric vehicles?

We leave you with this reflection.
