A man from Munich who crashed his BMW M8 in Feldkirchen almost died. The car overturned and caught fire.

Feldkirchen – Drunk in a car with 625 hp – that would be for a 44-year-old. Player almost ended badly. The man was driving his black BMW M8 on the M1 district road from Kirchheim to Feldkirchen on Thursday around 10.40pm. He must have missed the roundabout on the B471 because he drove over it at high speed, police report.

The BMW hit a tree on the roundabout and overturned

The BMW hit a traffic sign and an information sign and then ran up the roundabout. There he hit a tree face to face, rolled and after a total of 60 meters ended up on the roof of the other side of the circuit. The crash caught fire immediately. Fortunately, the injured driver managed to escape from the accident.

He was taken to hospital after first aid. “The driver was very lucky,” says Feldkirchen fire department commander Michael Basler. He was sent by 32 soldiers.

The BMW M8 is just a burnt out scrap. Police estimate the damage at 157,000 euros – 150,000 euros per car, plus 7,000 euros from fallen signs and damage to the roundabout. The driver was “very drunk”. The value was not yet available. There were more important things first. The county road and the B471 had to be closed alternately for fire and rescue work.
