The Superb has an improved sculptural design with pronounced lines and Full Matrix LED lights.

The front is defined by a modified octagonal grille, the Skoda logo on the hood and decorative strips in a dark chrome finish on the front apron.

The hexagonal bai-LED matrix modules of the Full Matrix LED lamps are completed with a colored crystal element called Crystallinium.

The rear lights are thinner and the crystal elements add to their three-dimensional appearance.

AERODYNAMISM

The hatchback limousine has a drag coefficient of 0.23.

The front wind is more directed, the roof line is improved. The exterior mirrors have been redesigned, the A-pillars include rain deflectors and front air intakes, and the wheels and tires have been upgraded.

An active electric damper located behind the front air intake controls airflow based on engine cooling needs.

The front brake cooling system, which uses the air flow provided by the radiator fan, is also an active, automatically controlled device.

A moderate increase in length and height has improved the overall dimensions of the Mlada Boleslav hatchback limousine cabin.

The Skoda Superb is longer (4,912 mm) and taller (1,481 mm) than its predecessor while the wheelbase (2,841 mm) remains unchanged.

The trunk volume of the hatchback limousine reaches 645 liters.

The fourth-generation Superb has a revised interior concept with a sleeker-looking center console offering more storage space, with the selector lever moved to the steering column.

“Intelligent controls” or “Smart Dials” combine manual and digital functions that allow access to several vehicle functions.

The Superb offers Ergo seats with ten pneumatically operated massage cushions.

The Superb has a standalone 12.9-inch infotainment screen and head-up display, which is complemented by a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit.

The fourth generation Skoda Superb limousine offers a hybrid petrol engine of 150 hp 1.5 TSI (mHEV) and a diesel engine of 150 hp 2.0 TDI.

TSI 1.5 with mild hybrid technology has active cylinder technology (ACT plus).

Both power units are connected to a DSG box.

All electric appliances meet Euro 6e emission standards.

The new cooling module improves cooling performance and reduces aerodynamic drag.

SECURITY

New assistance and safety systems, such as Turn Assist and Crossroad Assist, appear on the Superb.

Crossroad Assist, an intersection assistant, uses radar sensors and a front camera to warn of the presence of crossing vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians. If needed, it triggers visual and audible warnings and then applies the brakes automatically.

Other systems already available on the previous version, such as Travel Assist, Front Assist, Lane Assist, Side Assist, Attention Assistance System and Parking Assistance System have been improved.

Travel Assist provides a better view of other nearby vehicles in the Digital Cockpit.

With the latest version of Side Assist, the distance to detect vehicles coming from behind reaches 90 meters. This is due to more powerful radar sensors placed in the corners of the bumpers.

The Front Support System provides maximum protection for cyclists.

The alertness and drowsiness support system monitors the driver’s behavior and assesses the level of fatigue, if any. The system detects deviations from normal driving behavior at speeds above 70 km/h. It assesses the driver’s behavior and draws conclusions about their suitability to continue driving. If the system detects that the driver is tired, it triggers visual and audio warnings.

The parking assist system allows the Superb to park itself automatically. It controls the speed and direction of the vehicle and stops automatically if the system detects an obstacle. At the rear, an automatic emergency braking system for pedestrians takes care of this. The steering assistance system relies on sensors in the rear to analyze the vehicle’s environment and images from the rear vision camera to detect pedestrians and children.

In the event of an accident, the Crew Protect Assist system and the presence of ten airbags ensure the safety of the occupants.

SUSPENSION DCC PLUS

The Superb offers the DCC Plus system. This version uses two independently controlled valves to separate the rebound and compression phases of the suspension. The feature allows for quick adjustment of humidity and a wide range of humidity characteristics. With the right setting of DCC Plus, the car body remains more stable and less affected by vibrations and vertical movements, especially when driving on poor road surfaces, cobblestones and pothole covers.

The Czech Skoda Superb is available from 44,380 euros for the hot mHEV version with 150 hp e-TSI in the finishing Selection (1.5 TSI 150 mHEV DSG7 Selection).
