This ‘exchange’ is part of a wider partnership with US manufacturers, which is also available for vans and pick-ups. In the first case, Volkswagen serves Ford, in the second and now also for the Transporter it is the other way around.

Bigger and more spacious than T6

It is available in a choice of two body lengths and lengths, single and double cabin and several other variants are also available. The ‘smaller’ transporter is 5,050 millimeters long, which makes it 146 millimeters longer than the current model. The wheelbase has been extended by 97 millimeters to 3,100 millimeters. The longest version measures 5,450 mm thanks to a 400 mm long wheelbase. The length and width of the loading area have also increased and you can store 5,800 to a maximum of 9,000 liters of cargo in the car, if you want to experiment with liquid. The payload goes up to 1.33 tons and you can also tow 2.8 tons with the Transporter.

The number of seats increases from two to six in two cabins, so you can also sit with three in front if desired. The dashboard is fully digital with a 12-inch screen, and the center console has a 13-inch touchscreen. The equipment includes DAB+ and wireless Android Auto with Apple CarPlay, the buttons on the steering wheel can also be operated with the gloves on. are on.
