This Rare Acura TLX S Needs To Be Saved

When it went on sale in October 2022, the Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition was available in three colors – Curva Red, 130R White, and Long Beach Blue – and was limited to just 100 units each. Now, the Long Beach Blue model of the performance sedan is no longer on the road, but you can restore it to its former glory.

This car had a starting price of $63,995 plus destination and servicing fees when it was delivered to its original owner. This made it $7,500 more expensive than the regular TLX Type S. But the sedan suffered major damage to its front end. From what we can see in the pictures available, there is no structural damage to the engine compartment, which means that the car can be repaired without much trouble.

According to the list on Copart, the estimated retail price for this limited edition TLX Type S is $51,709, meaning the car has retained much of its original value despite the accident. The overall condition is “Run and Drive,” which is another good sign that the car can be restored and put back on the road. Unfortunately, the car is not currently available for bidding and no on-sale date has been announced yet.

Note, the PMC Edition has no technical changes over the standard TLX Type S. Power comes from the same 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a peak power of 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. The car was hand-built at Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio “by the same craftsmen who build the NSX Type S.”
