Van Ekris in Mijdrecht was named the best Toyota dealer in the Netherlands

The Toyota Van Ekris dealer in Mijdrecht has won the ‘Ichiban Best Retail in Town Award 2024’. The prize is awarded annually to the best Toyota dealer in the Netherlands.

Jacob Schaap from Lelystad managed to maintain last year’s level and – just like last year – again got second place. Importer Louwman announced this today.

To earn an Ichiban Award, a retailer must have a lot to offer, reports Louwman. ‘In addition to providing a good customer experience, social inclusion and good employment practices are also important factors.’

“We are very proud of this award and see it as recognition of the hard work and dedication of our team,” says branch coordinator Stefan van de Bilt. “Winning the Ichiban Award confirms our commitment to continuous improvement and providing an exceptional experience to all of our customers.”

Ichiban is derived from ‘Okyakusama Ichiban’, which loosely translated from Japanese means ‘customer comes first’. Ichiban literally means ‘first’ or ‘number one’.
