The new Koenigsegg Jesko was recently allowed to play outside for the first time!
The Koenigsegg Jesko is the latest car from the automaker from Angelholm, Sweden. The car debuted at this year’s Geneva Motor Show with big promises that it could reach a top speed of 485 km/h. There is no denying that the Jesko, named after Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, is a technological masterpiece.
It’s clear to see that this is a Koenigsegg, it secretly resembles the Regera and the convex windshield can’t be missed. A huge spoiler is placed at the back of the car that can provide more than 1000 kg of down force, which you will definitely need! The power source is a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 1600 hp on E85. With normal fuel, the power remains 1280 hp.
The Koenigsegg Jesko features aerodynamics designed with one goal in mind: optimal track performance. Because the Jesko is a completely new car, Koenigsegg went back to the drawing board and designed a completely new rear wing, a new front splitter and a new diffuser. These form the basis of an active aerodynamics package that increases downforce and reduces drag. The unique aircraft-like windshield remains intact and has played a key role in the aerodynamic performance of Koenigsegg cars.
As we are used to from Koenigsegg, the V8 in the Jesko also sounds great. Enjoy!
