The Volvo XC40 recently garnered an array of accolades in India, affirming its status as a premier vehicle on the market.
The Swedish automaker’s offering was lauded at the 2020 Auto Premier League (APL) Awards, the country’s premier automotive awards, hosted by Autocar India and BBC Top Gear Magazine. The Volvo XC40 took home a total of three awards, including most desirable premium compact SUV, most desirable premium luxury car, and most desirable premium car.
The XC40 was lauded for its robust performance and impressive style. According to Autocar India, the XC40’s “compact footprint and bold styling make it a desirable package, while its interior is well-appointed and spacious, with a fit and finish that will please buyers in the segment.”
The XC40 was also praised for its advanced safety features, which include a collision warning system, lane keeping assistance, and an adaptive cruise control system that can maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
The APL Awards recognize the best in the automotive world, and Volvo was honored to receive this recognition. “It is a great honour for us to be recognised by APL and the automotive industry in India,” said Charles Frump, Managing Director at Volvo Car India. “Volvo has always been a leader in automotive safety, and the XC40 has been designed to offer our customers the highest level of safety and sophistication.”
The XC40’s multiple awards are indicative of the car’s outstanding performance and impressive design. Volvo’s offering is a testament to the company’s commitment to providing customers with a safe, stylish, and reliable vehicle.
