With this little step-by-step plan, your mascara will stay in place all day

Maybe the statistics show otherwise, but we suspect that mascara is the most used beauty product among women. It just gives a clearer look and more beautifully shaped lashes, as long as your mascara stays in place, of course. We share a simple step-by-step plan for it!

1. Start with a primer

We actually use a primer under our foundation so that the makeup products stay in place all day. But primers aren’t just for the whole face, there are also eye primers that make sure your eye shadow stays on all day and mascara primers. This ensures that the mascara adheres well to your lashes and therefore lasts longer. Primer can also make your lashes look longer – and that’s a bonus!

2. Don’t forget to apply powder

Mascara can run faster in humid environments or if you have oily skin. Then the mascara spreads more easily, which means that it can stain and run off quickly. So it is important to powder the skin around your eyes and eyelashes before using mascara.

3. Finish with a lick of waterproof mascara

Last but not the least, you can also go for waterproof mascara. Not everyone likes this, but the waterproof formula can help keep the product in place. This way you are always protected from smeared mascara in rainy weather!
