Alfa Romeo shows its first electric car

From 2027, Alfa Romeo wants to offer only electric cars, but so far the traditional brand has not had a single electric car in its range. That should change with the small SUV Milano that is now being presented. Photos, news, access.

  • 54 kWh battery, more than 400 km range

  • Electric drives with up to 240 hp

  • Also with a combustion engine: the Milano Ibrida with a 48-volt mild hybrid

The apparent individuality is also important, because under the paper, the Alfa Milano shares an electric drive train with many of the company’s brothers such as the Jeep Avenger, DS 3 E-Tense, Fiat 600e or the recently presented Lancia Y. One of these also guarantees 54 kWh Great battery all around Distance 410 km and 115 kW (156 hp) motor motor for propulsion on the front axle.

Alfa Romeo offers utility 15.0 then 15.6 kWh per 100 km. Milano Elettrica’s fast charging capability can help deal with a variety of concerns. Alpha electricity should be charged at suitable charging stations up to 100 kW it can fill its battery from ten to 80 percent in 30 minutes.

Unlike its parent company-driven competitors, the Milano still has a few acres up its sleeve. This is what the next one should do Lightning fast Milan 240 horsepower (176 kW) is available, and an all-wheel drive version is also planned. However, the four-wheel drive remains Alfa Milano Ibrida Q4 with combustion engine Saved.

If you don’t want an electric Alfa at the market launch, you’ll find an alternative in the Milano Ibrida. Its 100 kW (136 hp) gasoline engine drives the front axle and is connected to a 21 kW 48-volt hybrid system. The manufacturer provides the utility 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers and.

Outwardly it shows itself Height 4.17 meters with a width of 1.78 meters Milano is modern and typically Alfa sporty. What catches the eye at the front is what has been reinterpreted by the “Centro Stile Alfa Romeo”. Scudetto on the radiator grille. Alfa’s legendary symbols – the snake and the cross as a reminder of the emblem of the city of Milan – are made from black metal in front of the original radiator grille.

Die-hard Alfisti will have to do without touching anyone else in front of the Milano in the future: the license plate on the new model is no longer attached to the side of the bumper, but in the middle.

To the right and left of the Scudetto radiator grill are LED matrix lights and those known from the Alfa Romeo Tonale. 3+3 light signature daylight for watching sports.

In the interior, Alfa Romeo cleverly quotes the design of previous models despite the digital cockpit. The 10.25 inch speedometer screen it is designed in a dashboard with two circles, called “Cannocchiale” (binocular design) by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo. The infotainment screen in the central console, which – very strongly – faces the driver’s seat, also measures 10.25 inches.

Anyone who doesn’t want to just type on the display while driving a modern car can be happy. In the Milano there is a switch bar below the touch screen that can be used to control the ventilation and climate, for example. For the first time, AI ChatGPT as a voice assistant is integrated into Alfa Romeo, which can be started with “Hey Alfa”.

The designers of Centro Stile Alfa Romeo also refer to the design language of previous models at the rear. At the back, known as “Coda Tronca,” the Milano has a trunk of 400 liters.

At the launch of the market, Alfa initially offers a special model, similar to the Lancia brand recently revived by Y. The Milan “Special” it’s accented in black and comes to the dealer as standard on 18-inch aluminum rims in Alfa’s classic hole design. Other “special” features include the driver’s seat Massage workelectric gate and keyless entry system.

Despite all the comfort, Alfa Romeo emphasizes the sporty accent of the Milano. Thanks to its low weight and excellent weight distribution, the compact SUV should be a classic Alfa sports car driving behavior put on display. The chassis will also contribute to this: it was developed by the same engineering team as the Alfa 4C mid-engined sports car.

Price Alfa has not mentioned anything to Milano yet. The Milano Elettrica can start at less than 40,000 euros, the lower hybrid variant possibly under 30,000 euros.
