The Bentley Flying Spur is currently available as a ‘base model’, V8 and now also a Hybrid. In the latter case, under the hood is a 2.9-liter V6 with plug-in hybrid technology. The power of the system is 400 kW (544 hp), good for a sprint from 0-100 in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 285 km / h. Consumption is 3.3 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 75 g/km. It may be more economical with a plug-in hybrid, but it makes a big difference to all-fuel versions.

After choosing an engine variant, Bentley offers several configuration recommendations. See the picture below. Good in itself, but we go our own way. However, you must select the configuration as the basis for proceeding. Then we take blue as the base.

On the other hand, those configuration recommendations are not so bad, because the choice is very large. The next step is the body color, but that already gives you a lot of choice. There are nine shades of black alone, nineteen shades of blue, and so on. Fortunately, everything is organized into color groups. More different shades are included. After much deliberation, we choose Sequin Blue.

Fortunately, with seven options, the range of wheels is much clearer. For some wheels you must also take Mulliner Driving Tests. The 20-inch wheels look a little under the big car, the 22-inch Mulliner wheels are too big, so the choice falls on the 21-inch wheels. We like the version, partly in dark gray, better.

There are also plenty of choices in the interior. Do you want everything in one color or a two-tone interior? In the latter case, there are also two options for how color separation works. We go to the two-tone option A, the most subtle two-tone option.

Among the fourteen colors of the interior, we keep the main color and beige (Linen) of the model configuration, but we change the secondary color of Imperial Blue and Brunel dark gray. Although the choice of colors is more limited here, you can still have fun. If red or orange-brown interiors are your thing, go ahead.

We replace the already selected walnut veneer with high-gloss carbon fiber. You can also choose between more interesting options, two-tone options and possibly also extend the veneer for the rear doors and the table behind the front seats. We also extend the seating comfort with a larger rear dashboard and lighter Bentley logos on the seats.

Different options

From a large list of personal options we choose City Specification (some additional assistance systems, but mainly additional cameras and a hands-free tailgate), Visiting Information, LED logo projection when opening the door, mirror fireplace, remote control garage door. , Valet Key (so valet parking can park the car but not have access to anything else), Bang & Olufsen audio system and inductive smartphone chargers.
