Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Main Street Wednesday morning.

At approximately 8:00 a.m., officers from the Sandhill Police Department and firefighters from the Sandhill Fire Department responded to the scene in order to assess the situation.

Upon arrival, officers determined that two vehicles, a sedan and a van, had collided with one another near the intersection of Main Street and First Street. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, and the van had rolled over onto its side.

Two occupants of the sedan were transported to Sandhill General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van was also transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Police investigators are still attempting to ascertain the cause of the accident. They are exploring whether potential contributing factors include driver fatigue, distracted driving, or excessive speed.
