Cupra DarkRebel – a concept car that entered the real world from virtual reality

Have you heard anything about Metaverse? You know it right, it’s something like a parallel online world. A world that is increasingly buzzing in our physical reality. However, it is created by real people, although they appear in the form of an avatar.

Cupra DarkRebel paves the way for Cupra models

Cupra DarkRebel is an interesting electric sports concept car from Cupra.

It was created on the basis of more than 270,000 configurations that were created by members of the Cupra Tribe community, of course in the virtual world.

– Thanks to the passion and creativity of the CUPRA tribe community, we were able to bring the first virtual car to reality. CUPRA DarkRebel is as provocative as possible when it comes to design. He is a rebel with a goal: to prove that electric cars of the future can be sporty, exciting and daring – this is what Wayne Griffiths, president of the CUPRA brand management board, said about the Black Rebel.

The body attracts attention not only with its bold futuristic style and unique lighting, but also with a color that changes depending on the lighting.

Cupra DarkRebel – 3D printed interior

The dashboard was made using modern 3D metal printing technology, and the shape of the steering wheel refers to the world of racing, and at the same time resembles a console used in video games. Sustainably sourced materials were used to build the interior, made of 90% biodegradable bamboo.

According to the manufacturer, the car of this concept is equipped, among others: using the Functionality of the Unlimited Feature, thanks to this, when the car is parked and charging, users can move to the virtual world and have the opportunity to interact with the community of the CUPRA Tribe.
