The Cupra Terramar will join the brand’s model line-up later this year. However, we have to wait a little longer for this time. At the moment, the Spaniards are hot on the sky around the model. Under the hood of the Cupra Terramar will be 4-cylinder engines with a capacity of 1.5 or 2.0 liters. Customers will be able to choose between a plug-in hybrid drive (with a 19.7 kWh battery) or a mild hybrid drive. All this is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox available as standard. Additionally, the manufacturer announced an all-wheel drive option, which will probably be offered with the PHEV version.

The name of the model refers to the track of the Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar, the place where the Cupra brand was launched in 2018. Although the car will be made in Hungary and its design is the responsibility of engineers from Wolfsburg, – as we read in the Cupra announcement – “it ensures the the real Barcelona, visible at first glance.
