The Cupra Terramar will join the brand’s model line-up later this year. However, we have to wait a little longer for this time. At the moment, the Spaniards are hot on the sky around the model. Maybe that’s why Cupra was able to hide the back and interior of the car. For now, we have to content ourselves with pictures of the front part of the body.
The Cupra Terramar will be the largest Cupra SUV
Under the hood of the Cupra Terramar will be 4-cylinder engines with a capacity of 1.5 or 2.0 liters. Customers will be able to choose between a plug-in hybrid drive (with a 19.7 kWh battery) or a mild hybrid drive. All this is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox available as standard. Additionally, the manufacturer announced an all-wheel drive option, which will probably be offered with the PHEV version.
The name of the model refers to the track of the Autódromo de Sitges-Terramar, the place where the Cupra brand was launched in 2018. Although the car will be made in Hungary and its design is the responsibility of engineers from Wolfsburg, – as we read in the Cupra announcement – “it ensures the the real Barcelona, visible at first glance.
