The story of Rimac Automobili, grown from a garage to a global one by the vision of one man in a country of over three million inhabitants with no automotive history, is one of the greatest national pride for Croatia. Firmly based in Zagreb, proud of the Croatian language in its design and branding, founder Mate Rimac insists that his brand will remain true to his homeland. And so it was a special occasion when the first Croatian customer recently brought his Rimac Nevera from Manhattan Motorcars in New York.
This nerve was ordered by Dr. Branko Škovrlj, a neurosurgeon from New Jersey whose journey with Rimac began with a simple YouTube discovery. Fascinated by his compatriot’s ride and car, he immediately registered his interest, and last year he set out on a ‘Home to Rimac’ trip to meet the team, see where his Nevera would be built and choose its exact specifications.
After witnessing every aspect of Nevera’s production, from the hand-assembling of the state-of-the-art train to the use of eye-catching multi-layer painting and 26 kilometers of intricately woven cables – which Branko described as appealing to the brain’s neurons – he headed to the measurements. Here, he would choose from many shades, carbon finishes and custom touches that would make his Nevera unique.
After much deliberation, Branko chose an aggressive configuration that would match the Nerva’s hypercar character; detailed Predator Black ‘Dream’ finish – with Red Blaze leather interior. The exterior is highlighted by bright red brake calipers, hidden behind Infinitus-style wheels – and a number of interior touches, including a satin black finish to the brushed metal, perforated seats and signature Rimac stitching.
Nevera is designed, engineered and manufactured at Rimac’s headquarters in Croatia, from where deliveries continue to customers around the world. Setting more than twenty performance records in just one year, including the EV Nürburgring production record, as well as the Goodwood Hillclimb production record, the Nevera is testament to the brand’s commitment to creating a new era of performance. cars.
