Jaecoo 7 is big and technological, it is the second model ready to land on the market after Omoda 5. The origin of the name is very interesting: Jae stands for jaeger, in German hunter, while coo means cold, which in English indicates style. . At 4,500 mm long, Chery’s flagship SUV is more impressive in size and has more space on board. Under the bonnet is the same engine found on the Omoda 5, which is a 1,600 cc turbo petrol engine with 145 hp. Traction is all-wheel drive plus front-wheel drive, in this case a hydraulic transfer case transfers up to 50% of the torque to the rear axle.

Standard equipment is complete with everything and even more

Aesthetically, the Jaecoo 7 presents itself with a maxi front mask with vertical slats, soft and smooth sides and a back with narrow, but not too narrow, lights. The standard equipment is very complete as it includes dual-zone climate control, electric adjustment of the front and rear removable seats, panel roof, electric opening of the trunk, but also the 2nd driving level, car surveillance cameras. for 360 degrees and inside a 14.8-inch infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Three driving modes and another four for off-road use

On board, using the appropriate knob located in the central tunnel, you can select the three different driving modes available which are Economy, Normal and Sport, especially useful for driving on asphalt. Which is added another four, mud, offroad, sand and snow for greater use offroad. The dashboard, however, has a linear layout and is topped by two screens, one for the dashboard and the other for infotainment. The charging plate is wireless and warns you not to leave your smartphone on board when you get out of the car.
