On April 5 and 6, the Maserati GT2 will make its first appearance at the Paul Ricard circuit during the opening round of the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli. Three cars – two of which are driven by LP Racing and one by the TFT Racing team – are preparing to participate in the new season of the European Championship for GT2 cars. This is the first time the brand has returned to work with Trident since the final race of the 2023 season, also in France.

Last October, the Maserati GT2, driven by LP Racing drivers Leonardo Gorini and Luca Pirri, made its official debut in this class, producing an impressive first outing. After Maserati’s long absence in GT racing, the Italian team came into the spotlight immediately with a pole position and a podium finish.

The Maserati GT2 is an off-road racing car certified for the GT2 class and equipped with a 90° Nettuno V6 biturbo engine. GT2 brings Maserati back to the track in touring car racing, continuing the racing tradition that is an integral part of its DNA.
