Driving a Dodge Charger with a Hellephant engine (1,000+ hp!) –

You have read here several times that you can buy a Hellephant engine with 1,000 hp in a crate. That’s all well and good, but how does that translate to the real world? Ralph Gilles gives you the answer. He is the lead designer of Stellantis and has built an impressive profile. For example, Chrysler 300 and the fifth generation Dodge SRT Viper came from his hand.

In addition to the Dodge Charger with a Hellephant engine, the designer has more interesting things in the garage. Classics such as Peugeot 205 GTI, Lancia Delta and Alfa Romeo GTA-R. He also has a Viper that he signed himself, with ACR badges. ‘I think this is the first one off the production line. As soon as I found it, I immediately took it to the track,” says Gilles.

The real gem in his garage is ‘Hellucinaction’: a 1968 Dodge Charger that has been modified to today’s standards. Gilles took it as a ‘rusty barn find’ and changed almost everything about the car, except the silhouette. The 7.0-liter Hellephant engine in this car produces around 1,000 hp and 1,288 Nm.

Yet the car is incredibly quiet and smooth when you don’t fully press the accelerator. However, are you going to get full power? Then the engine screeches. Check out photos of this custom Dodge Charger with a Hellephant engine and the interesting story of its owner below.
