Formula E driver Sam Bird in action against Lille

When he was in Leadership to compete in the 7th edition of the Monaco E-Prix, driver Sam Bird was honored at the reception in Lille (1-0).

When the Principality of Monaco will host, this Saturday, April 27, the The 7th edition of the Monaco E-Prix – the 8th stage of the world championship E formulas -, AS Monaco are invited Sam Bird to (re)discover Stade Louis-II during the match against Lille.

A Formula E driver who has been competing since 2014, Sam Bird has 12 victories in the discipline to his credit, the last of which last month at the Sao Paulo E-Prix under the colors of his current team NEOM McLaren which is participating in its first season in Formula E.

The 37-year-old British driver distinguished himself especially in the 2017/2018 season where he finished in 3rd place in the world championship.

Yesterday, Sam Bird found an unknown field … The driver had already stepped on the lawn of Louis-II in 2011, on the sidelines of the Monaco Grand Prix, during a cultural charity event. a match that brings together the Monaco Children’s Star Team against the F1 drivers’ team.

After watching the players warm up from the sidelines, the London native met Thiago Scuro, Director General of AS Monaco, who presented him with the Club’s jersey bearing his name. Sam Bird then witnessed a great victory for Rouge & Blanc against Lille (1-0).
