The small town of the Mini Mundi amusement park in Zeeland is not in a good position. Most of the examples shown show damage. Pictures from a surprised visitor show that there are delayed repairs in several areas. Middelburg Park promises that the work will be done.

Mini Mundi opened in 2009 as a continuation of the Miniatuur Walcheren mini park from 1954. The Zeeland buildings were recreated to scale. In 2024, several models have deteriorated significantly. Visitors are faced with collapsed roofs, cracked walls and loose power lines.

Broken and broken parts are the order of the day. Because miniatures are left to their own devices for a long time, they suffer from peeling paint, tarnish and other impurities. The giant freighter looks more like a ghost ship floating around. A cruise ship also doesn’t seem particularly suitable for going on vacation.

Explanation
When the photographer asked for clarification by email, Mini Mundi said that it is a small storage “in maintenance” it is. “This is also displayed on the door, we are working hard to restore examples.”

However, no work is visible. That warning is also not on the park’s website. There you can only read that the roller coaster is temporarily closed. The park map also mentions five other attractions and playground equipment “under construction” it is.
