The arrest of a teenager after two violent crimes in Lastrup

On April 27, 2023, around 18:00 pm, a 16-year-old suspect asked a young man to come to Wallstrasse. The two then went to a nearby forest, where the suspect is said to have kicked and punched the victim. He also reportedly tried to extort money and a phone from his victim.

Then about an hour later the suspect was again waiting for the child in the Wallstrasse area. When the child arrived at the scene of the crime with his friends, he repeatedly beat the victim and threatened him. Here too, he tried to demand money and a new mobile phone.

Both victims were so depressed that they first had to be treated at the hospital.

After a thorough investigation, the Oldenburg public prosecutor’s office requested a search warrant and an arrest warrant, which was granted by the judge. The decisions were implemented yesterday and the young man was arrested and taken to Cloppenburg’s office. He was brought before the judge today. The youth are now in custody.

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, around 4:30 pm, police officers checked a 21-year-old driver from Grossenkneten on Emsteker Strasse. Here, police officers were able to detect a unique smell. A search uncovered suspected marijuana. This was taken.

Cloppenburg – drunk driving

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, around 5:50 p.m., an alert witness reported that a truck was turning onto Route 213 toward Cloppenburg. The police officers were able to find and control the 63-year-old driver in front of the industrial feeding station. Here they found out that the man had been drinking alcohol. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.99 per thousand. A blood sample was taken and a driver’s license was obtained. In addition, a security deposit was taken.

Cloppenburg – driving without a license

On May 25, 2023, at 17:20 pm, a 35-year-old driver from Garrel was driving on Emsteker Strasse and was stopped by the police. Here the police officers found out that the man did not have a driver’s license. Further travel was prohibited.

Cloppenburg – traffic accident with a person slightly injured

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, around 7:50 a.m., a 14-year-old girl rode a pedelec on the left-hand lane and the bike path towards Bethen. At the Osterstrasse/Hinterm Wall intersection, he crossed the intersection even though the traffic light was red. There was a collision with a 17-year-old light motorcyclist from Garrel coming from the left. This was running on the Hinterm Wall road. The cyclist was slightly injured.

Löningen – traffic accident with a person slightly injured

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 3:34 p.m., a 67-year-old driver from Lindern was driving on Poststraße towards the roundabout and slowed down to let cyclists pass. A 10-year-old boy was cycling on the footpath to cross the Poststrasse towards the Bahnhofsallee. This is where the collision with the driver happened. The boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Essen (Oldenburg) – traffic accident / driving without a license

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 17:10 pm, a 22-year-old driver from Quakenbrück was driving on the B68 towards Quakenbrück. At the intersection with Eichenallee, the driver had to stop because of traffic. A 27-year-old driver from Essen (Oldenburg) driving behind him drove off and caused property damage. When the traffic accident was recorded, it was found that the 22-year-old driver did not have a driver’s license.

Cloppenburg – escape from a traffic accident

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm, an unknown person drove into the parking lot of the customer market on Soestenstrasse and damaged a parked Chrysler Grand Cherokee. Garrel – a traffic accident with a person slightly injured

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, at around 4:30 pm, a 25-year-old driver from Grossenkneten drove on Beverbrucher Strasse towards Garrel and collided with a 56-year-old driver from Garrel from Bunzlauer Strasse, who was crossing the road and entering wanted driving Sager Strasse. Both vehicles were inoperable and had to be towed. The traffic light was damaged in the accident. The 25-year-old driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
