The arrest of a teenager after two violent crimes in Lastrup
On April 27, 2023, around 18:00 pm, a 16-year-old suspect asked a young man to come to Wallstrasse. The two then went to a nearby forest, where the suspect is said to have kicked and punched the victim. He also reportedly tried to extort money and a phone from his victim.
Then about an hour later the suspect was again waiting for the child in the Wallstrasse area. When the child arrived at the scene of the crime with his friends, he repeatedly beat the victim and threatened him. Here too, he tried to demand money and a new mobile phone.
Both victims were so depressed that they first had to be treated at the hospital.
After a thorough investigation, the Oldenburg public prosecutor’s office requested a search warrant and an arrest warrant, which was granted by the judge. The decisions were implemented yesterday and the young man was arrested and taken to Cloppenburg’s office. He was brought before the judge today. The youth are now in custody.

Cloppenburg – traffic accident with a person slightly injured
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, around 7:50 a.m., a 14-year-old girl rode a pedelec on the left-hand lane and the bike path towards Bethen. At the Osterstrasse/Hinterm Wall intersection, he crossed the intersection even though the traffic light was red. There was a collision with a 17-year-old light motorcyclist from Garrel coming from the left. This was running on the Hinterm Wall road. The cyclist was slightly injured.

At the intersection with Eichenallee, the driver had to stop because of traffic. A 27-year-old driver from Essen (Oldenburg) driving behind him drove off and caused property damage. When the traffic accident was recorded, it was found that the 22-year-old driver did not have a driver’s license.
