“Classics & Coffee” will start the season program on April 14, 2024

The classic car meeting “Classics & Coffee” at the Mercedes-Benz Museum will open the new season on 14 April 2024. Every Sunday until 13 October 2024 and inclusive, drivers of young cars and classic cars of all brands are invited to a comfortable gathering on museum hill.

Contrast is the key in this series of events. Because here, young people who are only 20 years old meet witnesses of cars from decades ago. Whether lovingly maintained sports cars from the era of economic miracles or luxury sedans from the 1980s, muscle cars or the famous Unimogs: these are just a few types of cars that make up the colorful field at the rally. The open concept of “Classics & Coffee” fits into this kaleidoscope of migration history. All brands of vehicles are welcome, no pre-registration is required and participation is free. Even those who like without a regular car can just stop.

From large sports cars to commercial vehicles

Thematic selections are very popular. Ten such events are planned for 2024, which will focus on these classics as well as all other cars:

• April 14, 2024 – Supercar: The online forum “Car Collecting” is a newcomer with the so-called “Coffee Run” on Museum Hill.
• 19. Mai 2024 – “Baby-Benz”: The focus is on the first class compact sedans from Mercedes-Benz (W 201).
• 9. June 2024 – AMG Special: Founded in 1967 as a sports car engineering company, Mercedes-AMG is now the sports car and performance brand of Mercedes-Benz.
• June 30, 2024 – 45 years of the G-Class: The story is alive! The former G model celebrated its debut in 1979 and has been impressing ever since with its extreme off-road capabilities and elegant performance.
• July 14, 2024 – 70 years of 300 SL (W 198): Mercedes-Benz introduced the 300 SL “Gullwing” in 1954, based on the sports car of the same name – the birth of an icon.
• August 4, 2024 – Supercars: “Car Collecting” once again presents interesting sports cars around the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the “Coffee Run”.
• 18. August 2024 – Porsche-Special: Today, Mercedes-Benz Classic specifically invites cars from another Stuttgart brand that produced its first sports car in 1948.
• 25. August 2024 – Coupé-&-Cabriolet-Special: Two-door luxury touring cars and open-top cars from classic to modern are featured this Sunday.
• 1. September 2024 – AMG Special: A second date in 2024 for drivers and fans of sports cars from AMG.
• September 22, 2024 – Off-road vehicles, commercial vehicles and campers: Large structures with their main attraction are the focus this Sunday.

There will be no “Classics & Coffee” on June 23 and July 21, 2024 due to events at NeckarPark.

“Classics & Coffee” not only includes classic cars, but also delicious coffee. In addition to pick-me-up, the food offering in the outdoor area of ​​the museum also offers many other summer drinks and dishes.

The beginning of “Classics & Coffee” is also the opening of the season of the open program of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. This offer includes, for example, the series “City Culture at the Mercedes-Benz Museum” in collaboration with cultural workers from the city and the region, an open-air cinema with a cinema experience under the stars, and a children’s and family day .
