The first electric muscle car comes from Dodge

Dodge is ushering in a new era of electric muscle cars and example Charger, and of the brand’s first high-powered muscle car.

The next-generation Dodge Charger ignites a legend. The new Dodge Charger delivers all-wheel drive as standard on all models and will offer performance options through multiple powertrain options: the 550-liter Dodge Charger SIXPACK HO powered by a 3.0-liter High Output twin-turbo Hurricane engine and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK SO powered and twin-turbo 3.0-liter turbo engine 3.0 liter Standard Output.

Production of versions 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack 2-door coupe 100% electric and of Dodge Charger Daytona R/T 2024 it will start mid 2024. Model production 100% Daytona Scat Pack electric and four-door R/T it will start inside first quarter of 2025. The world’s first and only electric muscle car

The new Dodge Charger introduces the first all-electric muscle car in the Dodge Brotherhood of Muscle. The latest Dodge Charger models represent the first vehicles to use the Large STLA platform, a highly flexible, BEV-friendly platform that is capable of carrying more horsepower. A variety of suspension and powertrain modules can be used to meet specific vehicle performance goals.

The all-electric, all-wheel-drive Dodge Charger Daytona models are powered by a 400V powertrain that delivers high-performance V-8s with zero emissions. and instantaneous torque response. The system has characteristics a high voltage battery pack, a dual-charge integrated module and an electric motor module (EDM) in the front and rear. The front EDM uses a front wheel cutout, improving range and efficiency, while the rear EDM includes a mechanical limited slip differential to increase traction and performance. Both the front and rear EDMs have a 3-in-1 design (inverter, gearbox and motor), with an output of 335 horsepower (250 kW) and a torque of approximately 400 Nm.

The battery pack has a rated capacity of 100.5 kWh and a peak power of 550 kW, specifically designed to increase speed by allowing the engine to use the maximum amount of power that the battery can provide over approximately 400 meters. The structure of battery cells is prismatic and it gives structurally stronger cells and better fuel efficiency thanks to the hard casing, which helps to reduce the temperature of the battery during high-performance driving. Nickel Cobalt Aluminum battery chemistry provides high power per gram.

400V propulsion system loads six levels of performance in one power train. The 2024 Daytona Charger R/T comes with a Direct Connect Stage 1 upgrade kit as usual which increases power by 40 horsepower to a total of 496 horsepower, while the Daytona Scat Pack comes with kit Step 2 which gives increase in power over 80 horses, to bring total power of 670 horses. Future Daytona models will require purchase of Direct Stage Connection devices from basic structures to Stage 1 and 2 operations.

Charger Daytona models also take advantage of an advanced and customizable stand-alone system. The driver can adjust the level of regeneration (0.1g, 0.2g or 0.3g of regeneration) using i shifting paddle personalize the driving experience.

New generation performance

The new Dodge Charger is equipped The DNA of the muscle car inside and out.
