The entry list for the upcoming 6 Hours of Imola (19-21 April), the second round of the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship, has been revealed.

The 37-car entry has only one change since the season opener in Qatar last month. The No. 2 Cadillac will feature the only two Italian race drivers with England’s Alex Lynn and New Zealand’s Earl Bamber confirmed to drive the rival Cadillac V-Series R Hypercar.

“Imola was actually my first ever European race,” explained Bamber. “It was 2008 and I won. I have good memories of Imola because it was the first time I raced on a European track and winning made it even more fun.

The New Zealander, who had raced up to that point in Formula BMW Asia, Formula V6 Asia, Toyota Racing Series, among others, joined ADM Motorsport for two rounds of the International Formula Master series (aka Formula Super 2000). in September 2008. Imola. Driving a special Formula 2000 car, Bamber finished seventh in the first race and won the second.

“It was an eye-opening experience, a great weekend at Imola,” the driver added. “I look forward to getting back with Cadillac Racing and competing for another win there.”

Cadillac Racing will be keen to put in a strong performance at Imola following the team’s recent exit from the first round in Qatar. The American team initially finished fourth but a post-race technical inspection found that the team’s rear stripes were out of specification compared to the combined length.
