The collision happened on Thursday (May 25), around 10:00 am. 18.00 in Miejski Górka on ul. Rawicka.

– Peugeot driver – 42 years old from gm. Pakosław – he did not keep a safe distance from the car in front – a Volvo truck and hit the back of it – reports asp. employees. Beata Jarczewska, KPP Rawicz information officer.

He adds, the truck driver stopped because he was letting the people on top of him at the marked pedestrian crossing. The 42-year-old did not stay put. He started running. Witnesses who saw what happened followed him until he entered a dead end street. They stopped him there and took the keys. They also waited for the arrival of the police.

The Peugeot driver will be liable for breaking a court ban, driving under the influence, causing a threat to road safety and a collision. The car he was driving was kept in a secured parking lot.

On ul. Rawicka was also staffed by firefighters from Rawicz and volunteers from Miejska Górka. After finding the scene of action, they directed the traffic to evacuate and remove the debris of the collision.
