With a length of almost five meters and a wheelbase of more than three meters, the new Mazda CX-80 is longer and longer than the popular CX-60 while offering a larger wheelbase. Combined with its two fold-flat third-row seats, the CX-80 will offer three different configurations for its second row of seats, including two separate advanced seats with a choice of a center console or a way to access the row of seats. three seats.

The new CX-80 inherits technologies worthy of the future excellence of Mazda’s European range, and benefits from three new features: the new on-board voice assistant Alexa, a new hybrid navigation system that combines the benefits of online and offline services, and the new Trailer Hitch View system that uses a large display screen and advanced graphics to help position the vehicle in relation to the trailer.

Two engines: plug-in hybrid and diesel

At its launch, the CX-80 will be available with a choice of two engines: e-Skyactiv PHEV plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a four-cylinder gasoline unit with an electric motor, which stands out for its exemplary performance and excellence. environmental performance; and the e-Skyactiv D six-cylinder diesel engine with M Hybrid Boost – Mazda’s 48V limitless hybrid system – which ensures top-class fuel consumption and emission levels.

The e-Skyactiv PHEV version develops a total power of 327 hp/241 kW with a torque of 500 Nm. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, has a top speed of 195 km/h and claims a wide range. 60 km in all electric mode. It offers excellent environmental performance, with an average WLTP fuel consumption of 1.6 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 36 g/km. The e-Skyactiv D version develops 254 hp, goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 219 km / h. It shows an average consumption of 5.7-5.8 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 148-151 g/km.

The two engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive. Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) technology also offers four drive modes to choose from (including an EV mode for the PHEV version), just like on the CX-60.
