Creation of a school cafeteria

Rembrandt Bugatti college students ate lunch Henri Meck school campus restaurant it’s close. More than 300 students so it made a daily trip between sites 2. Such an organization had restrictions on establishment and provided a security problem, school children having to cross a busy railway on their journey on foot. Furthermore, the host restaurant was full of and the reception could not be held in good condition.

The European Community of Alsace has therefore decided to build new half board at the Rembrandt Bugatti campus in Molsheim, on the adjoining land, with an area of ​​approximately 2600 m2, provided free of charge by the city of Molsheim.

The main goal of the project was to give secondary school students a way to cook in their own schools. More than that, other developments were also done. So, project together the following tasks :

  • of half-board construction with a production capacity calculated for 550 meals per day (500 half-board students and 50 fellows), including a dining room for middle school students with 200 seats for an area of ​​290 m2, a dining room of 70 m2 reserved for commensals. The new half-board (kitchen + dining rooms) will represent a useful area of ​​approximately 715m².
  • forecourt development a secure 350m² student waiting area located on Rue Jean-Pierre Vimille in front of the new main campus entrance.
  • integration of energy transition goals for proposing a BBC building (a low-energy building)
  • half-board deposit of time
  • install a pre-installed garage to the campus maintenance agency
  • sports platform renovation near the campus, owned by the City of Molsheim, where the construction site was

Modification of the SEGPA category

L’increase in SEGPA staff causes difficulty in terms ofuse of space and distribution of students. In fact, the previous work arrangement no longer made it possible to focus on this part under normal conditions. The College has not been reformed at the level of the academic section since its opening in 1991.

This project included three-position calibration :

  • Industrial workshop and maintenance agency
  • Atelier Habitat House
  • FabLab

Planned project improve the performance of the space to better cope with the use and full renovation of the interior. Mezzanines were created in the workshop in order get storage space.
