Winnipeg police release more images, video of suspect in assault near law courts

Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in an assault that occurred near the law courts.

The Winnipeg Police Service released more images and video footage of the suspect on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on July 15th at around 8:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the law courts in the city.

Police said the suspect assaulted a woman who was walking in the area.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, between 25 and 35 years old, standing approximately 6’1” tall and weighing approximately 230 lbs.

He was wearing a blue and white checkered shirt, blue jeans and a black backpack.

The suspect had a tattoo on his left arm and was seen carrying a black skateboard.

Winnipeg police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to contact them at 204-986-6222 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.

The Winnipeg Police Service is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information about the suspect to come forward.

The service also stated that anyone with video or images of the incident should contact them as soon as possible.

Police are also reminding citizens to always be aware of their surroundings and to walk in well-lit areas when possible.
