Yuki Tsunoda celebrates the crew: “Awesome standing” / Formula 1

Yuki Tsunoda scores points in his home race in Japan. Also thanks to a very good stop by his Racing Bulls crew, where he was able to pass several cars that were also stopped.

The nimble fingers of his mechanic secured points for Yuki Tsunoda in his home race. The Japanese is pleased with the performance of his pit crew, thanks to which he gained several positions on the pit lane.

Before Lap 23 at Suzuka it suddenly becomes difficult on the pit lane: Kevin Magnussen (Haas), Valtteri Bottas (Sauber), Logan Sargeant (Williams), Yuki Tsunoda (Bulls Racing) and Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) come one behind the other . to leave a hole, processed almost at the same time – with very different results.

As in the first three races of the season, Bottas stopped very slowly. However, the Racing Bulls crew managed a quick tire change on Yuki Tsunoda’s car. The Japanese passes the other cars in front of his home crowd and is the first to leave the pit lane. Crazy performance!

New order after five stops: Tsunoda, Stroll, Magnussen, Bottas, Sargeant.

Tsunda cheers on the radio: “Guys, you’ve done really well. Thanks a lot, great job! “… And after crossing the finish line, he celebrates again: “What a beautiful station!”

After the race, Tsunoda said: “Our team did a great job. The mechanics were very fast and overtook two cars. Stupid! Without them and without stopping it would probably have been more difficult to get the point. Credit to the team!”

The home point at Suzuka is Tsunoda’s second straight points win.
