MM Motorsport is waiting on the streets of Elba Rally with a “trio” of Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo

The Lucca team is expected on the streets of the first event of the International Rally Cup with its three Pirelli tire cars entrusted to Rudy Michelini, Flavio Brega and Walter Gamba.

PORCARI (LU) – MM Motorsport is ready to dive into the competitive spirit of another important commitment, organizing its three Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evos on the roads of the Rallye Elba, the opening event of the International Rally Cup 2024. Challenging roads, known for the bag which is difficult to translate and has a mileage of three digits.

Rudy Michelini’s Skoda Fabia will be the first of three Pirelli-tyred models to take to the podium at Portoferrario. The driver, who recently faced the Italian heat of the Piedmont Regional Championship, will look for a top position relying on the technical package tested now, shared by co-driver Nicola Angilletta.

Flavio Brega from Brescia will return behind the wheel of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, just one week after the last event. The driver, eighth overall at last weekend’s Prealpi Orobiche Rally, will join Marco Zegna in a setting that – last year – saw him finish in the top ten. The streets of Elba Rally will be another opportunity to return to competition for Walter Gamba, the driver who – with Giacomo De Simoni on the podium – will return to interpret the characteristics of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, seeking the leading position in the long-awaited conflict between local drivers .

The first day of the competition will be held on Friday in the eastern part of the island, with three special tests, two involving Capoliveri. The next day the race will take place in the western part, under the light of the famous and feared Monte Perone, a special test which, according to tradition, will have a special weight in the balance of the race. The checkered flag will be flown on its scheduled arrival from 4pm, in Portoferraio.
