Up to 829 hp for the new Maserati GranCabrio Folgore

Up to 829 hp for the new Maserati GranCabrio Folgore

Following the examples of the GranTurismo Folgore, the first electric car from the trident brand, and the Grecale Folgore (its first electric SUV), Maserati presented the GranCabrio Folgore which marks a new step in its electrification program (Folgore means “electric” in Italian), which will include the MC20 Folgore from 2025.

The new GranCabrio Folgore benefits from the same technology as the GranTurismo Folgore model, namely an electric powertrain consisting of three electric front axles (one motor) and rear axles (two motors). Each of these engines develops 400 hp, but taking into account the battery in the car (92.5 kWh), its ridership is “small” to 761 hp (and occasionally 829 hp with “MaxBoost” mode).

Power allows this Maserati GranCabrio to deliver high performance. The GranCabrio Folgore is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach more than 290 km/h at the peak (with between 419 and 447 km of autonomy in the WLTP cycle).

Presented in an exclusive Liquid Rose Gold edition

The appeal of the new Maserati GranCabrio Folgore also comes from its appearance and its retractable roof. As in the heated design, this soft roof made of fabric is installed or reattached in its housing in just 14 seconds (up to 50 km/h), by pressing the touch button located on the 12.3-inch screen placed in the middle. of the passenger compartment.

The car presented as part of “Made in Thunder”, and detailed for the event by Davide Grosso, head of design at Maserati, was covered in a new version of “Liquid Rose Gold” and reinforced with a soft roof in “Titan Grey.” Films offered through the Maserati Fuoriserie program to which future buyers of this GranCabrio Folgore will certainly have access.

Maserati has not yet specified the price of this new GranCabrio Folgore. In comparison, the GranTurismo Folgore model is available for less than €200,000.
