The “DeA Cupra Digital and Art” project was presented. The municipality improves the area and promotes tourism

CUPRA MARITTIMA – «We are happy to present this project to the citizens from ours emblem of identity: the face of the goddess Cupra defined by size because our area has a beauty that matches that of the goddess, our goddess, who gave her name to our city – declared the mayor Alessio Piersimoni – Cupra Marittima is best known as a seaside resort, but it has an incredible historical-artistic and cultural heritage.. We want to expand the tourist offer and logos, programs and all communication activities developed go in this direction. Our goal is to attract visitors throughout the year with events, sports and historical cultural programs.”

«It is an integrated project that touches many sectors and was born from the desire of the administration to give a new impetus to the offer of tourists – said the councilor of Culture and Tourism, Daniela Luciani -. Our goal is to encourage 360 ° experiential tourism to know and enjoy the beauty of our region, not only from the point of view of the natural state, but also from the historical-archaeological-artistic point of view, the latter being small. known feature. In addition to the logo, the creation of a tourist brochure with all the Cupra features, software and digital technology, created by ETT Spa, was also very important, to immerse in regular trips to discover our heritage”.

Franco Scoppolini of ETT Spa showed how digital solutions work. The “DeA Cupra” app tells you the points of interest of three tourist trips: Archaeological Park, Borgo di Marano and Piazza della Libertà in view of the works of art preserved in the Church of San Basso.

Interesting facts are geographically oriented and present multimedia images, information and knowledge. In two of these “points” it will also be possible to witness a 3D reconstruction in augmented reality: the first is the head of the goddess Cupra visible from all perspectives; the second is a living room with a fresco of a woman on a red background found at an archaeological site, whose representation is based on the research of Dr. Ilaria Di Tano of the L’Orientale University of Naples. The app, made in Italian and English, will be available from the end of May – the beginning of June.

The project also includes two centers of True Truthone at the “Civita” Archaeological Park infopoint and one at the Archaeological Museum of the Territory.

The participation of economic operators and local associations was also fundamental to the creation of “DeA Cupra Digital e Arte”, which led to the creation of community workshops, the creation of a video documentary and the schedule of exhibitions of “Nazzareno Tomassetti” along the Nature Trail “from the Marina to the Village” recently built with the funding of GAL Piceno PSL and launched last Sunday 21 April for public opening.

The event was also an opportunity to present the institutional APP “Cupra Marittima” which – explained the councilor Remo Lelli – “represents the final stage of the entire process of digital innovation that our Administration wanted to implement within the Municipality, starting from the platform of the website of the Municipality where the Application itself, to facilitate the 360° use of all municipal services for citizens with information and other useful services for tourists, as the program is also linked to the Municipality’s tourist website”.
