Knoop Autobedrijven is a family business based in Breukelen and Maarssen and due to the company’s success with the Mazda brand, its activities have expanded to cover the catchment area in the Greater Utrecht area.

A family business with a long history

The history of Knoop Autobedrijven goes back a long way. In 1968, the Hereman family opened an Esso service station and a small garage on Karel Doormanweg in Breukelen. In 1973 the Mazda dealership was added to the operations. In 1989 Arie Knoop took over the company in Breukelen and two years later brother Hans became co-owner. The new Maarssen branch office was opened in 2001. The number of customers increased significantly and now, more than 50 years later, Knoop is a well-known Mazda dealer with a large customer base in the Utrecht area. Arie and Hans’ sons, Jermy and Joery, have now joined the company and are ready to ensure and enhance customer satisfaction in the future.
