Lamborghini ends up under the hammer in Liestal

The recycling service of the Baselbieter Security Directorate is holding a public auction in Liestal on Saturday, April 27. About 145 bicycles, four motorcycles and three cars are up for grabs, including a Lamborghini 140 Gallardo.

It is not known how the sports car came into the hands of the crane. But one thing is certain: the former owner did not give it willingly. Cars impounded for speeding violations end up at public auctions in the state due to bankruptcy cases or criminal forfeiture.

The auction will take place at the Cantonal lost property office on Oristalstrasse outside Liestal. According to Basel’s security department, the cars can be viewed from 9 am. Bidding will begin one hour later.

According to the police website, the lowest bid for a bike is five francs per bike. However, the auctioneer may start with a higher bid at his own discretion.

Of course, luxury cars and motorcycles attract the eye. Two Harleys, a Kawasaki and a Yamaha are up for auction along with two BMWs and a Lamborghini. All vehicles appear to be in good condition at first glance.
